Learning First Consulting helps nonprofits and educational institutions prove their efforts are effective, and provide analytical insight for future improvements. LFC focuses on program evaluation, data analysis, and professional development workshops.

Since 2013, Dr. Kevin Besnoy and Dr. Lisa Besnoy have been advising kindergarten through post-secondary educational institutions through analyzing student test data, curriculums, and their effectiveness. For both educational and nonprofit organizations, the Drs. Besnoy also offer financial investment analyses, ROI analysis and more. Their goal is to use the existing data institutions have to make better decisions, build best practices, and demonstrate continued growth.

Kevin D. Besnoy, Ph.D.

CIO | CFO | Market Analyst

For more than a quarter century, Dr. Kevin Besnoy has devoted himself to the field of education, coaching, and empirical research. As the Chief Instructional Strategist (CIO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Market Analyst at Learning First Consulting, he is responsible for data warehousing and market analysis for all of LFC’s nonprofit and educational clients.

Throughout the 2010s, Dr. Besnoy focused on developing, implementing, and assessing educational curricula, use of technology, and trends in assessment. Through this research, he developed the ‘Technology Frame Theory’, which focuses on the successful implementation of technology in education.

Dr. Besnoy earned his B.S. and M.S. from The University of Alabama. He achieved his Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Lisa R. Besnoy, Ph.D.

COO | Lead Data Analyst

Dr. Lisa Besnoy is an expert in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, having dedicated more than 25 years to the craft. Her focus is primarily on predictive modeling, cost-capacity spending, productivity, and efficiency. As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Lead Data Analyst at Learning First Consulting, she is responsible for data collection and assessment for all of LFC’s nonprofit and educational clients.

As a licensed, Independent Marriage and Family Therapist, Dr. Besnoy integrates a focus on team building, workplace relations, and long-term goal setting to focus on creating a healthy team and healthy data management plan. She is the team lead for logistic modeling, grant evaluations, and team building.

Dr. Besnoy earned her B.A. in psychology and industrial organization from The University of Alabama, her M.S. in marriage and family therapy/counseling from The University of Southern Mississippi, and achieved her Ph.D. in educational research, statistics and program evaluation from The University of Alabama.
